With over 30 years of fishing experience on the Detroit River, Captain Ricky Holmes has established himself as one of the premier fishermen in the area.  His knowledge of the fishing patterns, bait and tackle, and his network of other captains who share real-time information ensures the most productive and exciting adventure the Detroit River has to offer.  Considered to be a vertical jigging expert, Captain Ricky Holmes is also a fantastic teacher, whose willingness to share his knowledge and experience make for a great and productive time for people of all levels on the water.

• Detroit River Morning (7am-Noon) Available every Saturday and Sunday. Price $500 includes up to 4 anglers
• Detroit River Afternoon Weekends (4pm-9pm) Price $500 includes up to 4 anglers
• Detroit River Afternoon Weekdays (4pm-9pm) Price $500 includes up to 4 anglers
• The captain can clean your fish for you $50
• Fish cleaning station and freezer bags provided free for all trips.

4. The captain supplies all fishing equipment, but if you have a favorite rod, bring it along. 5’6″ – 6′ medium heavy action spinning rods are perfect for vertical jigging with up to 1 ounce jigs.

Availability For Open Charters

Please call 734-323-0931 and book your trip directly with the captain. Due to cancelations and weather conditions it is vital to stay in direct contact with the captain. Your booked trip will show up on the calendar when your deposit is received. Any changes to dates due to weather conditions you will be notified by the Captain himself to discuss options for rescheduling.
